If you’re searching for an awesome shopping and entertainment destination in Malaysia, look no further than Bandar Sunway. This entertainment titan in Petaling Jaya, less than 30 minutes from central Kuala Lumpur, is home to Malaysia’s first themed mall and an awesome water park featuring the largest water ride in the world. Sunway Pyramid
The front of this massive shopping mall looks like it belongs in Las Vegas. The huge pyramid is fronted by a massive lion statue, giving this mall a really exotic and unique look. Malaysia is a shopper’s paradise due to the very cheap prices (especially compared with its neighbour Singapore). Mall culture is huge in Asia and shopping malls are more than just places to shop. There are so many entertainment options inside Sunway Pyramid, but if you’re there to shop you’ll find lots of branded and unbranded stores selling pretty much anything you need. The inside of Sunway Pyramid features decorations in the form of Egyptian hieroglyphics and statues, making for a more interesting experience than you’re average mall. Also look out for the indoor ice-skating rink — skating isn’t easy (I’ve done it a few times) but it’s so much fun!

Sunway Lagoon
This giant fantasy world is one of the top water parks in Asia. It’s the perfect place for families or those looking for some fun in the sun. The Vuvuzela, considered to be the largest water ride in the world, looks amazing. There are many different sections to explore at Sunway Lagoon — you could spend days there and never get bored! The Lynton V Harris Scream Park, an interactive experience designed to transport you into the mind of someone in a horror movie, is a unique activity to try. There is also a zoo section where you can spot heaps of exotic birds and animals. There are over 150 species of animal to search for including the majestic white lion. The Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon is a recent addition to Sunway Lagoon. Kids of all ages (and adults too) will love the Nickelodeon themed rides and activities – watch out for Spongebob and Dora the Explorer! There is so much to see at Sunway Lagoon – it’s the kind of place that people return to time after time.
