Climb Up to Bled Castle

Located on a steep hill 100m above Lake Bled is one of Slovenia’s oldest castles, the Bled Castle. This medieval castle, converted into a museum and a restaurant, offers captivating view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Bled.

There are several walking trails which lead to Bled Castle. The easiest one to spot is the one towards the Parish Church of Saint Martin. The walk is not hard but it is quite steep. Entrance Fee to Bled Castle is €9 per person.

Hike towards the Hills around Lake Bled

If you want to get close to nature and explore other viewpoints, the hills around Lake Bled will surely satisfy your wanderlust. Do a half-day trip to Vintgar Gorge

One of the fascinating things to do in Bled is visit Vintgar Gorge, Vintgar Gorge one of Slovenia’s most beautiful natural wonders. The emerald waters of Vintgar Gorge cuts through the Borst and Hom hills in Slovenia. The highlight of your visit to Vintgar Gorge is walking along the wooden walkway which goes along the stretch of the gorge and ends near the 16m high waterfall.

Vintgar Gorge is located 4 km north of Bled and can be reached by bus from the main bus station, by car, on foot for about an hour. Entrance fee to Vintgar Gorge is €4 per person.
